To use features included in SBS 2003 (SBS2003), forward the following ports at your router or firewall:

Service Protocol Port Description / Notes
HTTP TCP 80 Hypertext Transfer Protocol: Web page / site hosting
SSL TCP 443 Secure Hypertext Transfer Protocol: Secure web page / site hosting
SMTP TCP 25 Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (If hosting email on the internal server)
POP3 TCP 110 Post Office Protocol (If allowing outside users to access internally-hosted email using POP3 mail connections)
PPTP ALL 1723 Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol: Microsoft's PPTP VPN Connection
RDP TCP 3389 Remote Desktop Protocol (Microsoft's XP & Vista remote access application)
RWW TCP 4125 Remote Web Workplace (Microsoft's SBS-based remote access application) (Also requires port 443)
SNPP TCP 444 Windows SharePoint Services: used to access the SharePoint Intranet site (Must use HTTPS when accessing from the Internet)

Note: good security practices dictate that only ports that are in use should be forwarded.
